Please Pray As Paul Instructed His Prayer Partners:

  • Eph 6:18-20 "[Yall be] praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.  To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak."
  • 1 Thes 5:25 "Brethren, pray for us."
  • 2 Thes 3:1-2 "Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you; and that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not all have faith."
  • Heb 13:18 "Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things."

Brandon & Leah Milan

Manitoba, Canada

Meet the Milans:

I am Brandon Travis Milan, born January 2, 1985, raised in Boiling Springs, SC. I first professed faith in Christ in the summer of 1995, when I was 10 years old. I continued to grow closer to God throughout my teenage years, and through the encouragement of other Christians and my own bible study and prayer, God made clear to me that I was called into full time ministry. I attended North Greenville College to major in Christian Studies, then I met my beautiful wife, Leah Henson.

Leah was born December 23, 1995 and raised in Bethel, NC. Leah came to know Christ at the age of 11 with the aid of her father. She also grew throughout her teenage years, serving as a student leader in her youth group, doing summer missions through the North American Mission Board, ministering to teens at Lake Junaluska, and serving as a staff member at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.

After being married only a short time, God made it clear to us that we should seek out a place to serve. I took a position as a Student Pastor in Waynesville, NC, but after about a year, God made clear to us that our time there was coming to a close, and through various means, he opened up some doors for us to serve at a church in Northern Manitoba.

While we aren't missionaries in the technical sense of the term, we are taking the Gospel to an area that is very highly non-christian in order to serve as one of the only student pastors in a town of about 15,000 people. Its certainly a huge jump from where we are and what we are used to, geographically, culturally, and climatologically (not sure if thats a real word, but the point is that the temperature can get as low as 41 degrees below zero and there are wolverines). The town is called Thompson, and its in Northern Manitoba, above the 53rd parallel.

We certainly need prayer as we get adjusted to the change. We also need prayer that God will fulfill our physical needs, such as relocation costs and clothing built for extreme cold weather. Pray that the community will be receptive to the Gospel and that God will use Leah and I to do a good work.
