History of Maridith Brooke Wade
I began to feel Christ stirring a passion in my heart for missions at the early age of 8 years old. Although I didn't fully understand what that call would involve, it was unmistakable to me that Jesus had gone to a great length to forgive my sinfulness. This made perfect sense to me and I told my parents that when I was older I wanted to take this story of redemption to the world. My family encouraged this and began to pray specifically for the Lord to envelop this calling in His timing.
It wasn't until my freshman year of high school that I began to recognize God's active pursuit in preparing my heart for a life laid down for the sake of the Gospel. Out of pride, I initially resisted His voice. Conviction soon thereafter fell over me, and I knew I had no other choice but to walk in obedience. He changed my rebellious heart, focused and renewed my passion, and began to open doors for me to travel overseas and tell of how He had captivated me. In May of 2005, I began working at Snowbird, where God was already at work laying the foundation for me to advance further in this calling. Here, I am daily encouraged in selfless submission, and I desire nothing else.

About this mission
I will be teaching Pre-K or Kindergarten at a bi-lingual Christian school held in a church called Renacer ("born again") in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from August 2007-May 2008. I will be living with the pastor of Renacer, Jeremias Gomez, his wife Dani, and their two sons, Daniel y Raul. This August will be the schools first year in operation, so with lack of funding, I must raise all of my support. I will need around $200 monthly to help the Gomez family with rent, food, and water, and will also need funds for my travel there and back, and for travel outside of the country during the year. This is mandatory because I will have to leave the country every 90 days to renew my visa. The total amount I will need will be around $4,000 and I am trusting God to provide. Tax-deductable donations can be made out to Snowbird Outfitters, with "Maridith Wade - Honduras support" in the memo line, and mailed to:
