Brief Bio:

David and Lindsey met at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters where they worked together on summer staff. They later got married. David is from around the Sanford, NC area and has grown up in the church where his dad is a pastor and his mom is a teacher at a Christian school. They also lived in Spain for 3 years while David's parents were missionaries. David originally came to Snowbird with his church as a camper, then worked on staff and later came on to work as a full time staff member.

Lindsey grew up around the Murphy/Andrews area and started to work at Snowbird during the summer of 2004. She grew up and was highly involved in her church youth group and other activities. She felt a calling for missions since she was a young girl and has been praying for God's guidance since. After marrying David, she started working at Andrews elementary school with the Exceptional Children's program and will be serving there until June when she and David leave for Mexico.

The Mission:

Growing up Lindsey had an aunt who ran an orpahange in Campeche, Mexico. Her name is Louise Edwards. She and her husband Noel started the orphanage as independent missionaries. Ever since Lindsey was in high school she visited the orphanage at least once a year. In 2007, David went with Lindsey to the orphanage for the first time. Since then they have been praying for God's direction in going down there to work. A couple years ago, Noel Edwards passed away and Louise has been running things with a few ladies down there to help out. Louise has been praying for someone to come and help out full time. She has been having various health problems and could always use the extra help. This was a huge open door for David and Lindsey to take advantage of according to the spirit's leading.

They recently found out that they will specifically be managing the older boys hall consisting of middle school and high school boys. There has been no one working with them for several months now and it has always been a girl. So it is great that David will be able to be involved in these boys lives.

Prayer

Please pray for us that we will learn the language quickly and be able to disciple the kids at the orphanage.

Our main desire is to see these children grow in their maturity and walk with the Lord and that the lost ones will come to have a real relationship with Christ.

Please pray that we will be able to find affordable plane tickets.

Please pray that we will stay healthy.

Supporting This Mission

The support needed is for Lindsey's health insurance which will be about $206 a month and then just miscellaneous expenses for things like a pair of shoes, fruit for our diet, or taking the kids on trips or outings and possibly medicine if we were to need it. That is it. We are looking to need about close to $300 dollars a month for support total for both of us. That should be about it.
