Please Pray As Paul Instructed His Prayer Partners:

  • Eph 6:18-20 "[Yall be] praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.  To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak."
  • 1 Thes 5:25 "Brethren, pray for us."
  • 2 Thes 3:1-2 "Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you; and that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not all have faith."
  • Heb 13:18 "Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things."

History of Bobby Lane:

I liked to cause a lot of trouble as a child. But I had some truly amazing folks that kept me from messing up my life, or blowing myself up, or running in front of cars, or ending up on a milk box. I heard the story of Christ early in my childhood. It made so much since to ask Christ to be the Boss of my life that I gave myself to God. And I was baptized at Faith Baptist Church. I pretty much showed-up for stuff for the next ten or so years although high school was a blast. But in my late teens I began to see Christ clearly convicting me of sin and putting a desire in my life to please him. After high school a tried a few things but nothing was right, until I stumbled my may to North Carolina. It was at Snowbird that I began to grow spiritually and the desire to serve Him with all I had and anything else He would give me was displayed right before my eyes. This changed my life! I told the Lord I am going but only if He would send me. I go to tell those who have not yet heard this Story of the Christ. I can do nothing else; I have tasted God’s goodness, I have seen His grace, and nothing can compare. MY life is ruined.

Contact Me

I will not be able to email very often because it is quite complicated to get to a computer and internet. Therefore, I will be relying on old-fashioned snail mail. If you would like to write me or send me a package (no boxes and nothing over 2lbs.), by package I mean something like a large padded envelope, my address is:

About the Xtreme Team
A part of the International Mission Board

Vision

Our vision is to evangelize and make disciples of those who live in the nearly inaccessible darkness of the Amazon jungle and high mountain regions of Bolivia and Peru. We engage multiple groups, but mostly groups with only a few hundred population, and we focus on groups where there has been little or no previous work. Most have already been contacted, but some still live as nomadic peoples who have no knowledge of God or his Word.

We do not build churches or pay pastors. We don't plant churches as you would see them in the States. We don't translate hymns or our favorite choruses. We do not do social work or relief aid as a general rule.

We do share the Word of God in their language in ways that they can understand and memorize. Our goal is to see a New Testament church planted that relies on the Word for its practices, a church that will reproduce itself and exist long after we have gone back home.

We place emphasis on the Word of God, prayer, reproducible or simple missions methodologies, and obedience-based discipleship.

Our second goal as a team is to help raise up and mobilize a corps of South American missionaries who will not only work along side us in Peru but will build their own missions teams to engage the lost in South America and around the world.

Mission

Our mission as a team is to glorify God through obedience to the Lord's call, and through calling others to obedience to Him. We will be equipped and led with other Latin American and North American missionaries to go to the most extreme areas of the continent, reaching people who have yet to hear the story of Jesus Christ. We will do whatever it takes to give those souls an opportunity to accept that Gospel through a clear and accurate witness, most hearing the name of Jesus for the first time from our lips. We will take the hope of salvation to the people who for centuries have lived without Christ, in fear and hopelessness. We will make disciples who will become and expand the Body of Christ. These churches will then work together to see other peoples become disciples. We hope to plant autonomous reproductive churches in these villages and tribes. To God be the glory!

Strategy

The Xtreme Team is divided into several different teams, each with their own Strategy Coordinator as well as their own strategy. The Xtreme Coordinator has the responsibility of seeing that all of the teams' strategies are based on the overall purpose and plan for the entire team.

The Strategy Coordinators have the responsibility of planning the strategy, leading the men and women of their team, and gathering all needed resources to see the people group come to Christ. While each team operates separately, there is much overlap in purpose, and many ways in which one team compliments the others.
